Create a Magic Wand Particle Effect – part 1
May 30, 2009  |  by Kernon Dillon  |  FX, Intermediate, Kernon Dillon, Particles, Tutorials

This video tutorial series will show you how to create a magic wand particles effect, the sort of visual effect you might see when a “magic wand” is waved. This will be similar to a “pixie” dust effect, although not so complicated. In Part 1 of 3, we’ll take a look at how to create the sprite graphics that will be used in the particle system.

    3. Hi Kernon,

A really good tutorial. I’m trying to learn Blender 2.5 alpha2 version and have one problem to follow your tutorial in this version. Do you know where the “Center New” Button or Function can be found in 2.5? I hadn’t success in finding it…..

      Thx for assistance!
